Over 150 cars showed up to the Bear Mountain Show on May 28th making this show the biggest of the year so far. The show is now moved to the lawn with food and drink served. Recognition awards were handed out for various categories and 50/50 money is being raised for charity. (more…)

On Saturday May 10^th Bimmerfest East meet brought a great group of BMW owners to Palisades Park in Fort Lee, NJ to enjoy good weather, camaraderie and each other’s cars. With more than 30 cars showing, the attendance was great. The majority of the cars were E39 BMW ’s and several E30 M3 owners showed up with their cars as well. (more…)

An interesting performance and power modification one can make to an E30 M3 is to replace the original 16 valve 4-cylinder S14 motor with the S50 or and S52 24 valve 6-cylinder motor found in newer model M3’s. Here is an example of this motor installed.

Some tips are that you’ll need to switch oil pans, transmission and some drive train features will need upgrading.  As well, an upgrade to the steering on the car can be conducted.  A lot of parts from the Z3 are interchangeable for this.

The 9th Season of the Bear Mountain Car Show opened on Wednesday May 7th, 2008. The show is held every Wednesday starting at 6:00pm and is a collaborative effort of the Rod Bender’s Car Club and the Palisades Park Conservacy in New York.

Cars of all ages, makes and models show up for this event and are broken into two main groups; Vintage and Collectible cars before model year 1989, and all cars 1989 and newer. There is also a large area for motorcyles, bikes and choppers of all types. (more…)

Following is a gorgeous example of a 1986 Lamborghini Countach. This car features a 5.2 Liter 48 Valve powerplant, the Quattrovalvole version. With styling by Bertone , it was a cutting edge exotic sports car in its day. The Countach is stunningly beautiful to see in person and wherever you drive or park this car it turns heads and gathers throngs of people who want to view it up close. Sitting in the driver’s (or even passenger’s) seat of this car really makes you feel as if you are in the cockpit of a jet, considering the ultra low ride-height and extremely low roofline. But the other unique attribute of this car is the Italian styling on the interior. The Lambo Countach is a true, original classic. A good example of a collectible in this vintage could fetch in the $100,000+, easily.
