The 14th Annual Greenwich Conours d’Elegance arrived to Greenwich, CT’s Roger Sherman Baldwin Park on the shores of Greenwich Harbour on June 6th and 7th.  The event was packed. Sports Car Advisors arrived very early and parking anywhere near the show proved a challenge, a sign of this concours’ rising popularity and success.

Saturday brought American iron and collector cars of all types while Sunday brought the international sports, GT and competion/race cars.  We were pleasantly surprised to find such an awesome display of Porsche race cars including the iconic 908/3, 956 and the 962.  Stunning examples of the Ferrari 288 GTO and the rare Porsche 911 3.0 Carrera RS. Being that we are sports car freaks, these cars were highlights of the concours.

The Greenwich Concours is especially friendly and intimate.  Car owners welcome you into their corales to take pictures and discuss their passion about the automobiles and the history behind their particular cars.  Most cars seem to be local to the east coast and so there is a tight-knit local feel to this show as opposed to some of the bigger concours events.  Side attractions such as the Bonham’s Auction, artwork and various automobilia are always a pleasure to visit and browse while at the consours.
