Porsche C4 Lightweight (911-964) – SOLD
SOLD – this vehicle has been sold. Porsche C4 Lightweight (964) – This rare, extremely low mileage Porsche 964 Carrera 4 Lightweight has just 50 actual kilometers. It is possibly the lowest mileage car of the only 20 C4 Lightweights ever produced in Weissach’s race department. The car was built by Jürgen Barth’s Porsche sports department so it is one of the ultimate consumer racers to come out of the factory.
Having such low use, this particular car has barely a spec of dust on it being pampered through its lifetime. Look at the pictures of the motor and underneath – fresh out of the factory the hoses, shrouds and cases are still gleaming. Try to find another example like this; you won’t.
From the factory the car is stripped of creature comforts and is built for the track (or a museum collection). Highlights include:
- Rally Gearbox with manual Torque Split Controls with front to rear and left to right bias
- Dual Brake Master Cylinder with Bias Control
- Fire System
- Full Factory Cage
- Recaro Factory Race Seats w/ Porsche emblems
- Lightweight Lexan sliding Side Windows
- Lightweight Aluminum Doors and Trunk
- Hydraulic Parking Brake
- RS Motor “breathed on.”
All of the Lightweights came in left-hand drive and were finished in stunning Grand Prix White. The car is loud as it has no muffler or catalytic converter so it’s pushing near 300bhp. The transmission has short gear ratios. The car comes with factory 7’s and 9’s x 16 inch aluminum wheels.
The Brakes have dual master cylinders with a balance bar for brake bias tuning.
The side windows are Lexan with sliding inserts for ventilation. This car also has a kill switch installed in the cowl – a familiar track/racing necessity.
The interior of the C4 lightweight is stripped bare. It has a full lightweight roll cage, a Halon fire system, differential controls, and there is no heating for the cockpit.
The C4 Lightweight comes in at about 2,425 lbs (1,100 kg), approximately 850 pounds lighter than the regular C4 and it will achieve 60 mph in just over 4 seconds.
Serious inquiries from the serious Porsche collector only.
